B&K Precision Adds High Current, 3 kW and 5 kW Models to MR Series DC Power Supply Line

B&K Precision, a designer and manufacturer of reliable, cost-effective test and measurement instruments, extends their popular MR Series multi-range DC power supplies with the addition of two new models. Since its initial release in 2020, the MR Series has proven to be a popular solution for ATE system and integration applications providing 5 kW of clean output power and up to 1000 V in a rack-mountable 2U form factor.
The new 3 kW and 5 kW models introduce additional voltage, current, and power options. The 3 kW model provides up to 160 V / 120 A and serves as an improved alternative to the discontinued B&K Precision model 9117. The 5 kW model provides increased power with the same 160 V / 120 A rating.
Both models feature LXI-compliant LAN, GPIB, USB (USBTMC-compliant), RS232, RS485, and analog programming interfaces included standard.
Additionally, these power supplies are cTUVus certified which meets US (UL 61010-1:2012) and Canadian (CAN/CSA-C22.2 NO. 61010-1-12) safety standards. TÜV Rheinland is accredited by OSHA as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL).
The MR Series delivers reliable DC power for design verification, production test, and other applications requiring a wide range of voltage or current.
The 5 kW (MR160120) model is listed at $5,590 while the more affordable 3 kW (MR3K160120) is offered at $3,990. All MR Series power supplies are backed by a 3-year warranty.
