Carling Technologies: New R-Series DIN Rail Mount Circuit Breaker

September 22, 2023

Carling Technologies, a Littelfuse, Inc. brand, has recently announced the introduction of the new R-Series configurable 13 mm DIN rail mount hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker.

Available with up to four poles, the R-Series circuit breaker features no hardware or front panel cutout requirements, an optional rail button, and a choice of 45 mm or 57 mm mounting panels, making DIN rail mounting simple.

“Datacom and telecom applications and renewable energy projects require a lot of equipment in increasingly smaller spaces. Our customers are looking for ways to fit more equipment in without sacrificing circuit protection and safety,” said Gary Chan, Global Product Manager. “The new R-Series circuit breaker has a narrow design, which frees up valuable real estate for revenue-generating devices, and it has recessed wire-ready terminals that are touch-proof and shock-resistant.”

Highlights of the New R-Series DIN Rail Mount Circuit Breaker

The R-Series hydraulic-magnetic circuit breaker is available with:

  • One to four poles
  • Voltage ratings of 80 VDC, 240 VAC, 415 VAC, or 480 VAC
  • Current ratings of 1 to 200 A
  • 45 mm or 57 mm mounting panels
  • Optional rail button

Designed in accordance with the requirements of specifications MIL-PRF-55629 and MIL-STD-202, the R-Series withstands up to 100 Gs and has an operating temperature of -40 ºC to +85 ºC.

In addition, the configurable circuit breaker is available with or without various agency approvals, including UL 489A, UL 1077, CSA 22.2 No. 235, TUV IEC/EN 60947-2, and CCC GB14048.2.
