Leviton: New Universal Half RU Patch Panel

Leviton Network Solutions has recently announced the introduction of its new Half RU 24-Port Flat Universal Patch Panel. Engineered to meet emerging network requirements to maximize patching space, provide efficient network scaling options over time, and allow for a mix of copper and fiber connectivity in a high density, half RU form factor.
“Our new Half RU panel is a global solution providing an easy and efficient way to add network connections and reclaim rack space,” said Jennifer Yanni, Sr. Product Manager for Leviton Network Solutions. “It is designed to maximize efficiency and flexibility in data centers and enterprise networks. The panel’s compact size and high density allows for greater space utilization and improved cable management, making it an ideal solution for modern networking environments.”
Half RU key features include:
- Universal Panel for both Shielded and Unshielded channels: The shielded panel provides EMI/RFI protection, signal isolation, and alien crosstalk (AXT)
- Earthing PEM provides appropriate grounding for both UTP and shielded applications
- Integrated cable management tray designed with cable singulation capabilities
- Compatible with all QUICKPORT and QUICKPORT-compatible jacks, including ATLAS-X1, EXTREME, and AX0
- Globally available making it an ideal option for Leviton MILLENNIUM Global Systems
“The Half RU patch panel form factor has been a popular option in the European market, and this introduction of a modular panel option adding the flexibility to accept different jack types depending on the network need is a game changer,” Yanni said. “The Half RU form factor is newer in the US, and interest is strong for use in telecom rooms, entrance facilities and event zone enclosures and consolidation points.”
