Horton Automatics, a manufacturer of premium access solutions, is pleased to announce its continued support of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) in the construction of a groundbreaking semiconductor manufacturing plant in Phoenix, AZ.

This collaboration signifies Horton’s commitment to supporting technological advancements and driving the growth of the semiconductor industry in the United States. As construction of the $40 billion plant progresses, Horton remains dedicated to delivering cutting-edge entrance solutions that align with TSMC’s vision for creating an advanced manufacturing environment.

TSMC recently announced an additional $3.5 billion capital boost for the project. The TSMC plant in Phoenix is set to become a cornerstone of the semiconductor industry, boosting domestic chip production and reinforcing the United States’ technological independence. This plant is expected to create a significant impact on the local job market and contribute to the growth of the semiconductor industry in the region. The facility is expected to open in 2024. TSMC produces the most advanced processors, including the chips in the latest iPhones, iPads and Macs.

As part of this landmark project, Horton Automatics has been selected to provide its cutting-edge door solutions for the TSMC facility. Almost 200 Horton doors play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of the TSMC plant. Designed to meet the unique requirements of high-tech manufacturing facilities (most of the doors hold an ISO 3 cleanroom rating), Horton doors ensure smooth access control and traffic flow while optimizing energy efficiency and air cleanliness.
