High-Performance Networks – Wago Industrial Managed Switches for Energy Suppliers

WAGO adds two new switches that are tailored to substation automation to its growing product range.

One Cable for Data and Power Supply

The 852-1505/000-001 Switches are designed for “Power over ETHERNET” (PoE), which provides power supply and data transfer together through just one ETHERNET cable. This streamlined wiring configuration offers significant potential savings for installation and operating costs while taking up significantly less space. An additional safety advantage: The switches have a redundant power supply.

Robust WAGO Design

Like all WAGO Switches, these new arrivals have a robust design and perform reliably in demanding environments. They are approved for the temperature range of 40°C to +70°C (−40 … +158°F), and both meet the IEC 61850-3 energy standard. The switches are equipped with a USB port to make firmware updates and configurations via USB stick convenient, which simplifies device replacement. They are provided with numerous configuration functions to customize and optimize performance, safety and data transfer.
