Import frequency of data into the EPLAN Data Portal

January 14, 2020

Starting in 2020, EPLAN has increased the import frequency of EPLAN data in the recently defined EPLAN Data Standard 1.0 format, bringing you closer to your desire for a possible real-time upload.

Basically, it is EPLAN’s goal to publish your data into the EPLAN Data Portal within a guaranteed period of 2 to 3 weeks after receipt of correct, uploadable data within EPLAN. Accordingly, with two exceptions, manufacturers are no longer bound by any deadlines – only due to organizational reasons, EPLAN have to set fixed dates for the main tradeshows in Germany :

… the 16th of April 2020 for uploads being ready at the Hannover Messe (date provision by 1st of April 2020)
… the 17th of November 2020 for uploads being ready at the SPS fair in Nuremberg (date provision by 2nd of November 2020)

With an optimal preparation and enrichment of your datasets especially also in the new format EPLAN Data Standard 1.0 (“EDS 1.0”) you are helping to minimize queries and thus further accelerate work processes in their mutual interest. This also applies to the development of proprietary macro libraries for optimal support of EPLAN eBUILD, a software solution for automatic circuit diagram generation.
