May Allied Expert Advice Offers Expertise on Future-proofing the Ethernet, Lunar Mining, Wire and Cable Selection, and Ethernet Switches

Allied Electronics & Automation continues to enhance its expert advice website offerings for May, adding four articles to their expanding topic list in categories like industrial communications, industrial control, machine safety, motion control and sensing. As part of its focus on improving the customer experience, Allied offers expert advice, whitepapers and other resources online to help meet customers’ wide-ranging needs and provide insightful guidance and expertise into trending, relevant topics.

Utilizing internal experts, as well as those from its roster of more than 500 suppliers, Allied is striving to put knowledge and expertise at their customers’ fingertips, while delivering solutions as unique as their businesses.

Recent Expert Advice topics include:

  •    –   The Fascinating World of Lunar Mining: This article features Jianguo Zhao, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University (CSU) and technical adviser for an Allied sponsored CSU team that competes in the annual NASA Robotic Mining Competition (RMC), which features budding engineers designing, building, and operating a robotic vehicle capable of an autonomous mining operation on the surface of the Moon.

  •    –   Future-Proofing Your Ethernet Connection: While spotlighting remarkable women in tech, Allied spoke to Sylvia Feng, Product Line Manager at Belden Inc. about a range of topics from the defining features of the current industrial age to how Ethernet technologies are evolving to meet the higher demands of today’s applications to what new products Belden is bringing to the table to prepare their customers for a secure, interconnected future.
  •    –   Switching It Up: The Keys to a Secure, Reliable Ethernet Connection: David Garcia, product manager at Moxa, offered his insight to help navigate the considerations needed to create a secure, future-proof Ethernet network, as well as product recommendations from Moxa’s expansive catalogue of switches.

June will feature a series of Ask the Expert articles highlighting facilities maintenance topics from subject matter experts at Allied, Nyco, Dykem (ITW Pro Brand Products), and Fluke, as well as relevant and timely topics of customer interest like warehouse robotics with Honeywell, industrial connectors through Molex and STEM technology for children this summer.
