Rolec Launches Cost-effective Suspension Arms for Display Applications

May 28, 2021

Designed for light-to-medium displays, HMI enclosures and panel PCs, the taraSMART modular suspension arm is a cost-effective alternative to ROLEC’s proven profiPLUS arms. The robust taraSMART suspension arm can support up to around 45 kg (100 lbs). The arms are ideal for a wide range of applications including smart factory automation, modern machine control systems, robotics,  process automation, medical and laboratory technology and information stations.

This easy-to-install modular suspension arm system offers a choice of rectangular or round aluminum profiles – both with generous capacity for routing HDMI, DVI and USB cables and network plugs. Each of the two profile shapes is available in four lengths: 10”, 19”, 29” and 39”. The round profiles are Ø1.89” (Ø48 mm) enabling standard panel PCs from leading manufacturers to be fitted without the need for extra adapters.

There are four couplings – all of which can be specified for pivoting, hanging and upright installations – and six system elements (comprising a base, two elbows, a socket joint, wall joint and intermediate joint). Horizontal alignment of the complete system assembly is possible at all joints.

All the couplings and system elements are diecast from aluminum silicon alloy (G Al Si 12). The profiles are manufactured from silver-anodized extruded aluminum. All diecast elements are powder coated in light gray (RAL 7035) with plastic covers in anthracite gray (RAL 7016) as standard. Other colors can be specified as an option.

Customization services also include CNC machining, printing, engraving/laser engraving and assembly.
