Bel Fuse: MEPG300/MEPG500 AC-DC Switching Power Supplies – New Efficient GaN Power Technology Extension

Bel Fuse Inc has recently announced the expansion of the EOS Power Series with the addition of MEPG300 and MEPG500 devices, designed specifically for medical applications and based on new, efficient Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology.
The EOS Power MEPG300 Series of AC-DC power supplies accommodate a universal input voltage of 90 – 264 VAC, delivering up to 300 W of output power with forced air cooling, and available in six single output voltages ranging from 12 V to 58 V. The series is built to the most recent medical standards (EN/IEC 60601-1), with 2 x MOPP isolation options for Class I applications.
The EOS Power MEPG500 Series of Medical AC-DC power supplies provides up to 500 W of regulated output power over a wide input range of 90 – 264 VAC. The power supplies are also available in six single output voltages ranging from 12 V to 58 V. This series can be used in applications that require low power loss and simple thermal management.
These power supplies are convection-cooled units, eliminating the need for fan maintenance and removing unnecessary audible/ambient noise and vibration, which can be unsuitable for a variety of medical applications. RoHS compliant and CE marked, the power supplies are safety agency certified and meet the latest regulatory requirements.
With minimal power loss, easy thermal management, and efficiency up to 94%, the devices can be used in therapy devices, hospital beds, imaging equipment, monitoring and surgical devices, diagnostic and dialysis equipment, drug pump, home health care, and ultrasound.
