SCHURTER: MSM II – High-Grade Stainless Steel Submicrominiature Pushbutton Switch

September 4, 2023

SCHURTER has extended its popular MSM momentary pushbutton switch series to include a high-grade stainless steel version. The MSM II Metal Line switch builds upon previous generations of MSM products to offer a subminiature microswitch with unrivaled haptic and optical feedback quality.

Available in 16, 19, 22 & 30 mm mounting diameters, the new microswitch provides a shallower mounting depth for switching currents from 100 mA to 3 A for SPDT as well as DPDT circuits. In addition to its enhanced design, the MSM II features increased ESD resistance (contact: ± 8kV; air: ± 15kV), increased impact resistance IK 08, and an even wider temperature range from -30 °C to +85 °C.

User interface is a growing topic when it comes to equipment aesthetics and safe operation. The MSM family has remained successful due to its wide selection of elegant options. Lighting options include ring, point, or surface area. Choose between single color or RGB, which allows for individual settings and light scenes. All lighted versions are available for a supply voltage of 5, 12, or 24 VDC.

Pricing for the MSM II starts at $10 in 100-piece quantities for the 16 mm version. The switches are packaged in boxes of 10 pieces each.
