New P11H Modular Panel Potentiometer Delivers Industry-High Rotational Torque

November 8, 2021

Vishay Intertechnology has launched the P11H Modular Panel Potentiometer that delivers industry-high rotational torque of 8 Ncm in a compact 12.5 mm size. The device’s high rotational torque allows for stability under harsh environmental conditions like temperature changes and high humidity, while permitting the potentiometer to maintain its setting / shaft positioning when exposed to high vibration and shock.

Featuring up to seven modules for off-road, aeronautics, and industrial applications, the P11H Modular Panel Potentiometer offers smooth rotational torque over its entire 50,000 cycle lifespan, with a variation of < 20 %.

The P11H Modular Panel Potentiometer is commonly used as a voltage divider or rheostat for light, radio volume, and air conditioning control in tractors, construction equipment, and aircraft cockpits, in addition to industrial tool setting and electric welding, motor speed, and low power control.

Customization capabilities include custom shafts, wire, connectors, and PCBs; reinforced traceability; special resistance taper (resistance variation, linearity); and other value-added options are available.

  • Element: cermet
  • Dielectric strength: 1500 VRMS
  • Operating temperature range: -55 degree C to +125 degree C
  • Standard resistance values: 1 kΩ, 4.7 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 47 kΩ, and 100 kΩ
  • Contact resistance variation: 2 % or 3 Ω • TCR: ± 150 ppm/°C
